AVOID TRAFFIC CONGESTION AND LEAVE HOME WITH TIME TO SPARE
Let's say you want to enjoy driving and are going to a restaurant on a weekend. Here is some advice. Make sure to confirm the way to the restaurant before you leave. "Don't hurry or get lost!" is a basic principle of eco driving.
Confirm the way before setting off and follow the way instead of driving haphazardly.
Even if you check traffic information after you leave, you can avoid traffic congestion and save fuel and time.
According to a survey, about 350 ml of fuel will be lost if you get lost and drive 10 minutes more.*
UNLOAD UNNECESSARY ITEMS
Unload unnecessary articles from the trunk or roof carrier. Are there items left unused for a long time, such as camping equipment or skiing equipment? You may think it a little annoying, but we advise you to unload unnecessary items before setting off.
15 ml of petrol is saved and 35 g of CO2 is reduced if a car runs the distance of 50 km if 10 kg of items are unloaded.*
TYRE MAINTENANCE BEGINS WITH AIR PRESSURE CHECKS
Check tyres before driving.
If it's difficult for you, have tyres checked at a petrol station.
It is said that fuel efficiency decreases by 2% in the city or by 4% in the suburbs if tire pressure is 50 kpa (0.5kg/cm2) lower than standard value.*
* The above value is calculated based on a car of 2,000 cc displacement (AT) with fuel efficiency of 11.7 km/l (10 and 15 mode).
