Toyota Scam Alert

Dear Toyota customers, please note the following scams that we have been alerted of:

Scam Message 1: Toyota will be selling all flood damaged vehicles at a cheap price.

Official Response: Toyota has become the target of a promotional scam, where it is falsely advertised that the company is selling flood-damaged vehicles at a discounted rate to members of the public. Please note that this is not true and Toyota will not sell damaged vehicles to members of the public. Scam Message 2: Toyota Academy Mt Edgecombe is open to take admin fees for apprentices (SMS)

Official Response: Please kindly be advised that there is an SMS scam that is currently in circulation which we would like to bring to your attention. The SMS claims that Toyota South Africa Motors is offering matriculants a learnership programme for a year at a fixed salary. The SMS also falsely vouches for legitimacy of the message. Kindly note that Toyota has no affiliation with the SMS being sent.”

Scam Message 3: URGENT Toyota offers free cars model 2018 on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of its establishment get yours now > > > > h ttp://toyota.winpriz.com/

Official Response: Kindly note that this is not true and that Toyota has no affiliation with the SMS being sent. The SMS claims that Toyota South Africa Motors is giving away free cars to celebrate its 99th anniversary. Furthermore, Toyota has not reached its 99th anniversary.
